Risk management
We have spent years integrating risk management as a core pillar of our corporate strategy. In line with international standards, such as the 2015 ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, we have implemented a standardized risk management system that allows us to identify and mitigate those risks considered most relevant. This system has progressively evolved to address critical areas such as patient safety, promoting a strong culture of prevention and management.
The alignment of risk management with the objectives of the Strategic Plan is reflected in initiatives aimed at protecting patients and ensuring excellence in care. Among the measures we have implemented are personalized electronic prescribing and tools designed to reinforce both safety and efficiency in operational processes.
In parallel, we have a Business Intelligence system that provides up-to-date information for agile and well-founded decision-making, allowing for financial and strategic control of ongoing projects.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and in compliance with the standards of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), at HM Hospitales we are making progress on a project that integrates the management of operational, strategic, compliance and sustainability risks within the framework of our Strategic Plan. This comprehensive approach aims to establish a holistic perspective that enables the effective management of risks associated with integrated operations and other critical areas of the organization, aligning with international best practices.
In short, we continue to strengthen our risk management model, encompassing both traditional and emerging challenges, to ensure sustainability, regulatory compliance and excellence in all areas of operation.
