SUSTAINABILITY
Governance
HM Hospitales promotes good governance and transparency through various internal principles, standards and internal policies that inspire ethics in our actions.
Criminal Compliance
he main objective of HM Hospitales’ Criminal Compliance Policy is to ensure compliance with applicable criminal legislation, promote ethical conduct among all its members, and minimize criminal risks in all the group’s activities. We take concrete steps to ensure integrity in all our operations.
At HM Hospitales there is a Criminal Compliance Committee, a body responsible for compliance with criminal regulations with authority and independence, reporting directly to the Board of Directors, whose main functions are:
-
Promoting and continuously monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the Criminal Compliance management system, with tools that allow for monitoring, surveillance and control.
-
The management of the Internal Information Channel of the HM Hospitales Group, which complies with the requirements established in Law 2/2023, of February 20, regulating the protection of persons who report regulatory infringements and the fight against corruption.
The Compliance Committee has a protocol that, in addition to defining the responsibilities and commitments of its members, governs procedures for removal and replacement, as well as recusal and abstention in cases of potential conflicts of interest, in order to ensure independence and impartiality.
