Once full dilation is achieved, the expulsion stage begins. This is the moment of action, when your body and your baby work in perfect harmony. With each contraction, you will feel the urge to push, helping your baby move down through the birth canal.

Our team will guide you with every push, showing you the best way to breathe and push so that the birth is as safe and efficient as possible. It is a moment of great intensity and emotion that culminates in welcoming your baby into the world.

With your baby now in your arms, the final stage of childbirth begins: delivery of the placenta. A few minutes after birth, the uterus gently contracts again to deliver the placenta, which has been your baby’s lifeline throughout the pregnancy.

It is the shortest stage and generally does not cause pain. Our team ensures that the placenta is delivered completely and safely, bringing the birth process to a close and beginning your new life together.
