What is plastic and reconstructive surgery? 

We offer a surgical specialty focusing on correcting functional and aesthetic defects of the body in our plastic and reconstructive surgery service. At HM Hospitales we cover two main areas: reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery focuses on restoring function to congenital defects, such as cleft lip and palate, as well as reconstructing tissues damaged by injuries, burns, or disease.  

Cosmetic surgery, on the other hand, focuses on improving physical appearance. It includes procedures such as rhinoplasty (nose surgery), breast reconstruction (augmentation or reduction mammoplasty), liposuction, and abdominoplasty.
