What is internal medicine? 

At HM Hospitales, we have an internal medicine service, dedicated to the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases in adults. Our internal medicine physicians deal with a wide range of conditions, from common illnesses such as the flu and high blood pressure to complex, multisystem diseases. They focus on accurate diagnosis and comprehensive patient management, considering all aspects of their health. 

Our internal medicine physicians have a broad knowledge of the different areas of medicine, which allows them to work with diseases that affect multiple organs and systems. They often act as consultants for other specialists and coordinate medical care for patients with chronic and complex diseases.
