HM CIEC is positioned as a reference center thanks to technological innovation, service integration, and healthcare excellence. We hold accreditation for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit from the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC) and the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Unit (CT and MRI) from the European Society of Cardiology, where we are also a reference center for Cardiac Stress MRI.
The cardiovascular research area of HM CIEC focuses on the personalized prevention of cardiovascular risk. Through genetic studies and advanced cardiac imaging, such as three-dimensional ultrasound of the carotid arteries and 160-slice coronary CT, we seek to detect the disease in early stages, stratify global risk, and halt its progression. We collaborate closely with the National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) in studies such as PESA, and we have the support of the HM Hospitales Research Foundation to translate our findings into clinical practice.
